SVMHS Awarded Highest Honors for Website Design
SALINAS, CA, November 24, 2009: Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System received national recognition at the Thirteenth Annual Healthcare Internet Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. The hospital's website (www.svmh.com) caught the eye of judges and received a Gold-level eHealthcare Leadership Award - the highest level awarded - for Best Site Design, one of the categories drawing the most entries for this year. Sites receiving the 2009 awards were selected from more than 1,100 entries. Judges used a multi-point standard of Internet excellence to critique applicants.
In April 2009, Salinas Valley Memorial launched its new website featuring a bold look and array of interactive features. "Our goal is to provide as much information as possible to members of our community," said Caroline Mountford, Webmaster for Salinas Valley Memorial, "this award acknowledges that we are delivering information electronically to the community in a eye-catching and user-friendly way."
